Cable Bolt and Ground Control Instrumentation Programs Instrumentation Program
Support design verification is an often overlooked step in the life cycle of an operation. At most operations the support design is arrived at based on rules of thumb, empirical design, or perhaps software specializing in support design. While these techniques are effective in setting up an initial support program, verification of the effectiveness of the support system needs to be performed. This allows the operator to optimize the length and spacing of ground support, and in the case of cable bolt support, to optimize the cable configuration (eg. bulb spacing, plating, twinning of cables, etc.).
Instrumentation Program
Through the use of MDT’s SMART Cables and MPBX’s, it is now possible to verify your ground support designs. MDT can assist you in the development and implementation of a ground control instrumentation program, whether you are looking to revamp your entire support design, or to just confirm that your support elements are working correctly.
Services offered range from simple instrument recommendations to full instrumentation program design and interpretation through MD Engineering, including our new wireless data acquisition system.
